As we continue to develop our online training programme for 2024/25, we’re pleased to announce this new series of webinars delivered by Rob Newman of Carter Collins & Myer. Rob is no stranger to the College, having previously delivered courses for us on-site at our dedicated training centre in Lincoln.

On the launch of this new series of webinars, Rob comments:

I’m delighted to continue my collaboration with the Society, having had the pleasure of delivering various in person and online CPD events over the years. I’m excited to announce that I will now be providing a series of CPD webinars on Zoom tailored specifically to your needs as will writers.

Each webinar is two hours long and designed to deepen your knowledge and enhance your practice.

Here’s what you can expect:

  2. Gifts and Exemptions: Understand the rules around gifting, including the seven-year rule and specific allowances.

  4. Property and the Residence Nil Rate Band: Explore how leaving property to direct descendants can increase the tax-free threshold.
  5. Life Insurance and Pensions: Ensure your client’s life insurance and pensions are tax-efficient and pass outside the estate.
